The Keeper
The Keeper” rises from a place where stories drown and secrets refuse to stay buried. The crocodile breaks the surface with a ring clenched between its teeth — a symbol of promise, power, and the price of holding on too long. I painted it to feel like a moment stolen from a legend, the instant before fate decides whether this creature is a guardian… or a warning. The water churns, the colors twist, and the lines cut sharp on purpose — because nothing about this moment is gentle. It’s a reminder that some treasures demand teeth, and some truths only surface when they’re ready. — Moore
This piece came from the idea that not everything powerful is meant to be feared — some things guard what we’re not ready to face. The crocodile rises from the water holding a ring, a symbol that can mean promise, loss, treasure, or warning depending on who’s looking. I wanted the moment to feel suspended, like a story caught mid‑breath. The lines are bold, the colors move like water, and the creature is stylized on purpose — real enough to recognize, unreal enough to leave space for imagination.
